- EBIT: Reported at Rs. 19.25 billion, compared to Rs. 72.26 billion in FY 2024/25, indicating shifts in operational profitability.
- Profit/(Loss) after Tax: The Group recorded a loss after tax of Rs. (27.80) billion for the year, compared to a profit of Rs. 19.71 billion in the prior year, primarily impacted by finance costs and significant adjustments.

Agriculture & Heavy Equipment Cluster
Browns Agriculture delivered exceptional performance, recording its strongest results to date with revenue reaching Rs. 19.3 billion, a 92% growth year-on-year. It maintained market leadership in tractors (40% share) and combine harvesters (65% share). Key innovations included the TAFE Dyna Track 4WD tractor, YANMAR Crop Tiger Maize Harvester, and XAG P60 Agricultural Drone. The division also focused on sustainability and community engagement through initiatives like the ‘Track Tech Free Service Campaign’ and ‘Sisu Nena Pahana’ programme.
Pharmaceuticals, Consumer and Industrial Engineering Solutions Cluster
Browns Pharmaceuticals showed sound performance, diversifying into the aquaculture sector with shrimp feed products and a new vaccine solution for aquatic animal health. The Integrated Engineering Solutions Division achieved record revenue and profitability, expanding its lubricants and industrial chemicals portfolio. Browns Industrial Services doubled its profitability, while Browns Tech Solutions focused on accelerating project conversion and strengthening customer engagement.
Agri Business and Plantations Cluster
Browns Plantations continued its global expansion across Asia and Africa, leveraging synergies for operational excellence. Despite rising costs and climatic challenges, local plantations demonstrated resilience, with Tea Smallholder Factories PLC showing significant financial improvement post-acquisition. Gal Oya Sugar Industries faced a challenging environment but maintained stable production. AgStar PLC delivered a strong recovery, surpassing Rs. 10 billion in consolidated revenue, driven by fertilizer and agri-technology segments. The Group received multiple national and international sustainability awards, including the “Control Union Deforestation-Free Standard (DFS) Certificate” for Hapugastenne Plantations PLC.
Leisure & Entertainment Cluster
Browns Hotels & Resorts achieved its strongest financial performance to date, capitalising on the global tourism recovery. Property enhancements included renovations and the launch of Newburgh Ella – The Tea Factory Resort, a fully paperless hospitality operation. The introduction of Ayuwasa Wellness, a unified wellness concept, catered to growing demand for personalised experiences. The portfolio garnered 41 national and international awards, reinforcing its position as a top hotel brand in Sri Lanka.
Construction Cluster
Browns Engineering and Construction underwent a business transformation, prioritising project quality and risk-adjusted returns. Although revenue declined to Rs. 2.7 billion, gross profit margins significantly improved from 14% to 25%. Key projects included project management consultancy for a USD 108 million luxury resort in North Malé Atoll, Maldives, and ongoing involvement in the Colombo Marina Development within Port City Colombo. Sierra Cables PLC delivered exceptional performance, recording its highest-ever revenue of Rs. 16 billion, supported by strong export demand and sustainability efforts.

The Group continued to invest in its human capital, evolving its HR strategy to focus on talent acquisition, employee experience, and leadership development.
