Maharaja Foods PLC to Host Virtual Annual General Meeting on September 25th; Final Dividend Proposed

COLOMBO, 01 September 2026 – Maharaja Foods PLC (CSE: PQ00296080) has officially announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the financial year ended 31st March 2026 will be held as a virtual gathering on Friday, 25th September 2026, at 3:00 P.M. The notice, issued today, outlines a comprehensive agenda including the consideration of financial statements, re-election of directors, and the proposed declaration of a final dividend.

Key Agendas for the Virtual AGM

Shareholders of Maharaja Foods PLC will convene virtually to address several critical items. The meeting will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to review the company’s performance and strategic direction.

  • Financial Review: Attendees will consider and receive the Report of the Directors and the Audited Financial Statements for the financial year ended 31st March 2026, alongside the accompanying Report of the Auditors.
  • Director Re-elections: The agenda includes the re-election of two Non-Executive Directors who retire by rotation in accordance with Article No. 79 of the Articles of Association. Mr. Melanga Asiri Doolwala and Mr. Mohamed Imran Furkan have both expressed their willingness to continue serving on the board.

Participation and Proxy Submission

Shareholders unable to attend virtually are encouraged to complete and sign a Form of Proxy, which is enclosed within the official notice. Duly completed proxy forms must be delivered to the Corporate Solution Unit of Central Depository Systems (Pvt) Ltd, the Registrars, at Ground Floor, M&M Center, 341/5, Kotte Road, Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka. Alternatively, forms can be submitted via e-mail to registrars@cse.lk.

It is imperative that proxy forms are received by the Registrars no later than 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, 23rd September 2026. This deadline is set to ensure that all proxies are processed at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled time of the meeting.
