COLOMBO – September 18, 2026 – The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) concluded the trading week ending September 18, 2026, on a subdued note, with both benchmark indices experiencing declines. Despite the negative price movements, the market saw a notable increase in total turnover, indicating active trading amidst a challenging environment. The week’s performance reflects a period of price adjustments, particularly impacting several key sectors.

Key Market Indices Register Declines

The All Share Price Index (ASPI), the primary indicator of market performance, closed the week at 21,056.26, down from its previous week’s close of 21,382.74.
