Colombo, September 22, 2026 – Lee Hedges PLC (the “Company”) today announced a revised composition for its Nomination and Governance Committee, following the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on September 21, 2026. The change, communicated in compliance with Section 09 of the Listing Rules of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), reflects the outcome of the recent AGM.
The primary catalyst for this adjustment is the non-re-election of Ms. Veronica Vasuki Vamathevan, a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director, at yesterday’s Annual General Meeting. Consequently, Ms. Vamathevan will also cease to be a member of the company’s Nomination and Governance Committee.
Revised Committee Composition
Effective immediately, the Nomination and Governance Committee of Lee Hedges PLC will comprise the following distinguished directors:
- Mr. Ananda Rajiv Walpita: Serving as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Walpita brings extensive experience to lead the governance functions.
- Mr. Don Sudath Lasantha Pradeep Kumara Wijesinghe: As a Senior Independent Non-Executive Director, Mr. Wijesinghe’s expertise will continue to be invaluable in guiding the committee’s strategic oversight.
- Ratnayake Mudiyanselage Mohan Joseph Ratnayake: An Independent Non-Executive Director, Mr. Ratnayake will contribute significantly to the committee’s deliberations and decision-making processes.
